Joel grew up in the infamous Littleton, CO but now resides in Denver. He has been playing the guitar since he was 13 and began writing songs when he was 16. He was lucky enough to be embraced in an extremely gifted musical family who include his older brother Vaughn Tromburg and father Phil Jensen who have both made their names known throughout the Denver Music scene. Joel has taken the stage at many venues in the Denver Metro area including Herman's Hideaway, Cervantes, Quixotes, The Hard Rock Cafe, Hi-Dive, Prost Brewing, The Walnut Room, Paris on the Platte, Mile High Coffee, Main Street Tavern, CB & Potts, Michelangelo’s Wine Bar, Tenn St Coffee, Dub's Pub and also at The Aggie Theatre, Hodi's Half Note and the CSU campus in Fort Collins, and CB & Potts and The Sink in Boulder. He has shared the stage with other great local artists such as Kinetix, Kathryn Ostenberg, The Heyday, Bobby Doran, Baji, Dave Preston and of course family members Phil Jensen and Vaughn Tromburg.
When Joel first began writing music, he collaborated with good friend Dash Benison. Together, Joel and Dash wrote a multitude of songs and performed in front of large audiences during their high school talent shows and also during their high school graduation. But once college hit Joel found new inspiration in his new scenery and relationships and began really defining himself as a musician and a writer. Joel studied at Colorado State University in Fort Collins and throughout college he began to really pursue music as a passion and a lifestyle. He is still currently playing gigs throughout the Denver Metro area and is always looking for new venues to play and artists to collaborate with. He currently plays solo gigs and also is sometimes accompanied by good friend, tambourinist & dancer- Ryan Powell. Please feel free to contact him with any booking info for venues or private parties.
